A downloadable game

React.To.This is an educational card & board game where the the goal is to flush out all your cards first and finish the path on the board as well. This game is based on the concept of Reactivity Series in the subject of Chemistry.

The cards have some details on them which will additionally help the students and other enthusiasts to get acquainted and memorize details of elements from Reactivity Series.

You can download the files to print your own game right here.

(All the documents have dimensions already set, just need to print them on some thick A4 sheets and the board on an A3 sheet)

The cards and board is supposed to be played simultaneously. When the player throws dice, he/she will move their game pieces accordingly, and will also perform an action if an action card was played.

Instructions for Cards:

  • Everyone starts with 6 cards & 2 pieces; Flush out all your cards and game pieces on the board to win.
  • Precedence of elements in reactivity series is as follows:

K > Na > Li > Ca > Mg > Al > Zn > Fe > Cu > Ag > Au

  • Element ‘K’ has the highest precedence meaning it can be played over any other single card.
  • Element ‘K’ card can be trumped by two/three/four cards [they all should be same element].
  • If 4 cards of Element ‘K’ have been played at once, they cannot be trumped unless the next player has an action card.
  • Action cards can be played at any time.
  • Whenever an action card is played, the sum of the numbers on dices would determine the action.
  • If everyone skips their turn, then the last player who played will start a new cycle.
  • If the drawing deck is depleted, reshuffle the flushed cards except the last turn’s cards.
  • Element name is written in the middle of the cards for players who are not familiar.
  • The number besides the name represents the atomic mass of the element.

Instructions for Board:

  • Every player has two board game pieces. Players can start moving their pieces once they unlock them.
  • Pieces can only be unlocked when the sum of the numbers on dices is an ‘even’ number.
  • The sum of the number on dices will determine the amount of units to move on board.
  • Stepping on a mine kills the piece and sends it back to the start which needs to be unlocked again.
  • If the amount of units required to reach the finishing region is less than the sum of dices, then rolling an ‘odd’ sum will let you reach the finishing region.
  • If both the board game pieces have reached the finishing region before the cards have been flushed, then the player will not roll dices anymore unless he/she is playing an action card.

Hope you have fun playing this game.
